How we calculate renting costs

Monthly cost = rent + administrative fees + utilities. Deposit = rent × number of months (usually 1–3).

Example: rent 2,500 zł, utilities 400 zł, 3-month deposit

Deposit: 7,500 zł. Monthly cost: 2,900 zł (rent + utilities).

Frequently asked questions

What is a rental deposit?

It is a refundable security amount, usually 1–3 months of rent, returned after the tenancy if there is no damage or debt.

What does the monthly cost include?

It combines the rent, building administrative fees and utilities such as electricity, water and heating.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes, the deposit is normally returned at the end of the lease, minus any costs for damage or unpaid bills.

It depends on the contract; sometimes utilities are included, but often they are paid separately on top of the rent.

In Poland deposits commonly equal one to three months of rent, agreed in the lease contract.

Rent changes are governed by the lease terms and law; usually notice and conditions for increases are specified in the contract.

The result is approximate. The deposit is refundable after the tenancy ends.
