Did an employee start or leave mid-month? Use this prorated salary calculator to find the correct gross pay for any partial work month. The calculation follows Polish Labour Code rules: divide the full monthly gross salary by the total working days in the month and multiply by the days actually worked.
Formula: Prorated salary = (full monthly gross ÷ working days in month) × days worked. "Working days" means Monday–Friday excluding public holidays. Paid annual leave days count as worked days and do not reduce the salary. Unpaid leave and unjustified absences are excluded from the days-worked count.
An employee hired on 10 September 2026 earns 6,000 PLN gross per month. September has 22 working days; the employee worked 16 of them. Prorated salary: (6,000 ÷ 22) × 16 = 4,363.64 PLN gross.
