Heating

  • Night setback — lower temperature to 16–18°C while sleeping or when the house is empty
  • Close doors between heated and unheated spaces (hallways, garages)
  • Bleed radiators — air-locked radiators waste 10–20% of heat energy
  • Keep radiators clear — furniture and curtains blocking radiators reduce heat output and force the boiler to work harder
