Pension indexation calculator 2026
Each year from 1 March, ZUS automatically indexes pensions and benefits. In 2026 the indexation rate is 5.82% — meaning a rise for every pensioner. The calculator works out the new pension amount, the monthly and yearly increase, and lets you check the historical rates from 2024 and 2025.

How the pension indexation calculator works
The calculator computes: 1. New pension = current pension × (1 + rate/100). 2. Monthly increase = new pension − current pension. 3. Yearly increase = monthly increase × 12. For 2024, 2025 and 2026 the rates are applied automatically (5.82% / 12.12% / 14.84%). You can also enter any rate manually (the "custom" option).
Example: pension 2,500 PLN gross, 2026 indexation (5.82%)
Current pension gross: 2,500 PLN. 2026 indexation rate: 5.82%. New pension: 2,500 × 1.0582 = 2,645.50 PLN gross. Monthly increase: 145.50 PLN. Yearly increase: 145.50 × 12 = 1,746 PLN. The guaranteed minimum increase is 120 PLN for pensioners with lower benefits.

What is pension indexation?
Pension indexation is an annual rise in pension and benefit payments resulting from increases in prices and wages. ZUS automatically raises benefits from 1 March each year.
What is the pension indexation rate in 2026?
The indexation rate for pensions and benefits in 2026 is 5.82%. Benefits were raised from 1 March 2026. For a pension of 2,500 PLN the increase is about 145.50 PLN per month.
What was the indexation rate in 2025 and 2024?
The indexation rate was: 2025 — 12.12%; 2024 — 14.84%. These resulted from high inflation in those years. In 2026 it is significantly lower thanks to falling inflation.
When does ZUS pay the increased pension?
The indexed benefit is paid from March each year. You do not need to file any application — the increase happens automatically.
Does indexation also apply to ZUS disability benefits?
Yes — indexation covers: old-age pensions, disability pensions, survivor pensions, social pensions and pre-retirement benefits. The rate is the same for all.
Is there a minimum amount of the indexation increase?
Yes — the minimum benefit increase is 120 PLN gross. This protects pensioners with lower benefits from too small a percentage increase.
