How we calculate working days

Working days = calendar days − Saturdays and Sundays − Polish statutory public holidays.

January 2026: 31 days, 2 holidays (1 Jan, 6 Jan), 9 weekend days = 20 working days.

What counts as a working day?

A working day is a calendar day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or a statutory public holiday.

Which holidays are included?

The tool uses Polish statutory public holidays, such as New Year, Epiphany, Labour Day, Constitution Day and others.

Does it count holidays falling on weekends?

A holiday already on a weekend does not reduce working days further, since that day is non-working anyway.

Can I calculate for the whole year?

Yes. Choose a year and the calculator sums working days across all twelve months.

Are Saturdays working days?

In the standard model Saturdays are non-working; if your schedule differs, adjust the result manually.

Why might the count change between years?

Some holidays fall on different weekdays each year, so the number of working days varies slightly.

The result is based on the current list of Polish holidays. Verify any statutory changes.
