For men: below 88 cm – XS, 88–95 cm – S, 96–103 cm – M, 104–111 cm – L, 112–119 cm – XL, above – XXL. The EU size is roughly the chest divided by 2 (e.g. 96 cm → EU 48).

Stand straight, breathe normally and wrap the tape around the chest at its widest point — at nipple level. The tape should be snug but not tight. Measure over a thin shirt or bare skin.

EU size is numeric (48, 50). UK is usually about 10 lower (EU 48 ≈ UK 38), as it reflects the chest in inches. US clothing is often given as letters (S, M, L, XL).

Size M fits a chest of 96–103 cm for men — the most common size. Fit also depends on cut: slim fit needs more margin than a regular cut.

For a looser fit pick the larger size, for a fitted look the smaller one. Also consider waist and hips and the fabric (knits stretch more than wovens).

Chest is most important for shirts, sweaters and jackets, but full sizing also covers waist, hips, sleeve length and height. For trousers the waist and height are key.

Convert your chest to the seller system (EU, UK or US) and check its chart. Differences between countries can be large, and UK and US sizes often use inches.
