Custom Furniture Cost Calculator 2026

The custom furniture cost calculator estimates the price of built-in furniture based on length in running metres, furniture type and finishing standard. The result splits the cost into carcasses with fronts and installation — useful for budgeting and comparing carpenter offers.

How the calculator estimates custom furniture cost

Price per metre = base price × standard multiplier: Kitchen = 2,500 / Wardrobe = 1,200 / Bathroom = 1,800 PLN/m Standard ×1.0 / Premium ×1.6 Carcasses and fronts = length (m) × price per metre Installation = 15% of carcass cost Total cost = carcasses + installation

Example: 4 running metres of kitchen, standard

4 m of kitchen at standard (PLN 2,500/m): carcasses and fronts = 4 × 2,500 = PLN 10,000, installation = 15% = PLN 1,500. Total cost = PLN 11,500. In the premium version the price per metre rises to PLN 4,000.

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom furniture cost in Poland in 2026?

Custom furniture is usually priced per running metre (m) of the run. Indicative standard prices for 2026: kitchen about PLN 2,500/m, wardrobe about PLN 1,200/m, bathroom unit about PLN 1,800/m. In the premium version prices rise by about 60%. On top comes installation at about 15% of the carcass and front value.

What does the price per running metre mean?

A running metre (m) is one metre of length measured along the wall, regardless of cabinet height. The price per metre covers carcasses, fronts, runners and hinges. It is a simplified pricing method — for unusual heights or extra elements (pull-outs, lighting) the carpenter adjusts the price individually.

Why is a custom kitchen more expensive than a wardrobe?

A kitchen (about PLN 2,500/m) is more expensive than a wardrobe (about PLN 1,200/m) because it contains more hardware, full-extension drawers, worktops, appliance cut-outs and installations. A wardrobe is mainly carcasses, shelves and rails, so it is simpler in materials and labour. A bathroom unit (about PLN 1,800/m) requires water-resistant materials.

The premium version (×1.6 multiplier) means thicker boards and lacquered or veneered fronts, branded hardware (e.g. Blum) with soft-close, LED lighting, composite or stone worktops and finer workmanship. Standard is based on laminated board and good-quality domestic hardware.

Installation is usually about 15% of the carcass and front value. For a 4 m standard kitchen (PLN 10,000 of carcasses) installation is about PLN 1,500. Some firms include installation in the per-metre price — worth clarifying in the offer, as it affects the final comparison of quotes.

The run length is measured along the walls the furniture will sit against. For an L- or U-shaped kitchen you add up the lengths of all segments. Include door frames, sills and sockets. The final measurement is always taken by the carpenter before production to avoid errors.

Custom furniture is more expensive than ready-made chain modules, but uses space better, fits unusual dimensions and has higher-quality hardware. In small or irregular rooms the difference in functionality often justifies the higher price. In standard interiors ready-made furniture is often enough.

From order to installation usually takes 4–8 weeks. The time covers design and quoting (1–2 weeks), waiting for materials and fronts (2–4 weeks) and production and installation. In season (spring, autumn) lead times can lengthen — it is worth ordering in advance.

With most carpenters the visual design and measurement are free when you place an order, but a design fee may apply if you cancel. Worth agreeing at the start. A professional 3D design eases decisions and limits costly changes during production.

No. The calculator gives an indicative cost based on average prices per running metre in Poland 2026. It does not account for unusual fronts, extra fittings (pull-outs, baskets, lighting), worktops or installation conditions. The final price is set by the carpenter after measurement and specification.
